I understand that 99% of the time it’s clock (oscillator) or timing issue.

I used the very same method for 16Mhz fuses and I was very happy with it before. FUSE with fuse-ext2 works on Mac OS X and Linux to access ext3 filesystems with 16K blocks.

The diode is located under the hood in the small box on the driver side fender next to the A/C relay. 14 bucks You can remove the diode and the A/C will work but being that it ties in with the ECM I would not recommend it. You have to replace with a diode from Ford. I’m using usbasp but never had problems at 16Mhz. Although the diode looks like a small blade fuse it is not. Ilusndweller, rcsrich, bru87tr and 1 other person like this. Most of the losses incurred in a system IMO is at the points of connection, cable connections, switch contacts, and this would include fuses. Also tried swapping the crystals although that doesn’t seem to be the problem. Perhaps the only advantage of an audiophile fuse would be silver solder connection and gold/silver plated contacts. I tried feeding 12Mhz external clock to XTAL1 after providing 5V. The scope reports XTAL1/2 oscillating at 8.00001. Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight, then check the starter relay in the same panel, also does the security lite stay on while this happens. I lifted and swapped 3 chips one after another each time with exactly the same outcome. There are several main fuses in the under hood panel, check all of them with a test lite, but I don't think that is the issue. I use the following to burn the fuses: avrdude nf -v -patmega328p -cusbasp -Pusb -e -Ulock:w:0x3F:m -Uefuse:w:0x05:m -Uhfuse:w:0xDA:m -Ulfuse:w:0xFF:m -B10 The fuses burn successfully but as soon as it’s done I can no longer communicate with it even at “-B100” : avrdude: error: programm enable: target doesn't answer. New chip is presumably running at 1Mhz as “-B10” or so is required to burn the fuses.

I head over to Arch Linux forum DKMS: install completed To eliminate. and of course fuse-ext2 works on linux (fuse ext2. files Subject: ext2 and ext3 modules: modprobe: ERROR: could not insert ext2. Projects with recent activity, and a code base more than five years old are likely solving vital problems and delivering consistent value, and may be organized to reward sustained effort by an engaged team of contributors.

fuse-ext2 is written for mounting linux ext2 filesystem from mac osx (macfuse ext2), since source is os independent you can use it on unix distros. The first lines of source code were added to fuse-ext2 in 2008.

As of now write option is not reliable.I’d like 328p to run at 8Mhz & 3.3V with external crystal. Fuse-ext2 for Linux v.0.0.7 Advertisement fuse-ext2 is a ext2 filesystem (ext2fs/ext3fs) support for mac os x, with both read and write support. You will be able to read the disks but not write to it. Note, after installing them you may or may not need to restart your system. When both of them are installed, then try plugging in ext3 or etx2 partitioned disk and they should get automatically mounted, just like any other disk. It is not possible for me to mount an ext2 file system (not via mount nor fuse-ext). Now, I can mount the ext2 partition in MacOSX using MacFuse/fuse-ext2 but thats. Hello, I use OI 151a7 and have installed ext2 and fuse file system packages from SFE. Just make sure to select this option when installing OSXFuse and you are good to go. However, Im a Mac user, so creating the ext2 was done booting a gparted-live. Fortunately OSXFuse includes “MacFUSE Compatibility Layer”. OSXFuse is the next generation MacFuse, but Fuse-ext2 is not meant to work with this. Our goal is to share knowledge about everything Airstream related. ?ĭownload and install them in the sequence shown above.įuse-ext2 needs MacFuse to run, but this is no longer maintained and does not work on Lion. The largest Airstream trailer & Airstream motorhome enthusiasts community online. So, here is the updated version, which works. On Mac if you want to access ext3/etx2 filesystems, which are used by Linux systems, you will find lots of links on net but all are pretty outdate and they don’t work for Lion.
